Special Announcement
Coming soon! You'll be able to file for Unemployment Insurance Benefits online from your computer. More information to follow so please stay tuned!
If you are laid off from your job and eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits, the quickest and easiest way to file your claim for your benefits is by calling the TeleClaim Center.
Walk–In Service to file benefit claims is also available at Workforce Central Career Center; however, limited staff are available for UI, and you can expect to wait for several hours to receive assistance. Filing by phone is strongly recommended.
Once you have filed your claim and been approved for Unemployment Insurance Benefits, you are required to certify your unemployment status on a weekly basis. This can be done by calling the TeleClaim Center or by using Unemployment Insurance Online Services.
Other UI questions/concerns can be answered by calling the TeleClaim Center. Limited services are also available through the Walk-In Services at Workforce Central Career Centers, but you may wait for several hours before receiving assistance, due to limited staff availability.
If you are receiving Unemployment Insurance benefits and eligible for the Training Opportunities Program (Section 30), the Training Opportunities Program does not provide financial aid for training. Financial aid would need to be secured from an alternative funding source, which may include Workforce Central Eligibility/Financial Aid.
