About Us

Workforce Central Career Centers in Worcester, Milford and Southbridge are federally recognized One Stop Career Centers and are part of the Massachusetts One Stop Career Center network of 37 Centers.

Our mission is to be the leading public resource in Southern Worcester County for workforce development services and information for all individuals seeking jobs, training and education, as well as for employers seeking skilled workers and workforce development information.

We have two primary customer groups, job seekers and employers.

Businesses use our no cost services in posting their job openings, holding recruitment sessions at our Centers, receiving qualified job applicant referrals from our large pool of skilled workers and obtaining information on federal, state and local employment and economic development related assistance programs. Key services to individuals are referrals to job openings, career counseling, job search skill development and one-stop access to multiple community programs and services helping people stay employed. For more information, see our Job Seeker Services page.

The Central Mass Regional Employment Board oversees the activities and performance of Workforce Central Career Centers.  The Worcester City Manager appoints Board members as well as the REB Director.  The REB Director is Jeffrey Turgeon.

The City of Worcester is the lead operator of Workforce Central Career Centers, with the Worcester City Managers’ Division of Workforce development the designated administrator for the Center’s activities.  The Worcester City Manager appoints the Career Center Director/ WIA Administrator.  The Career Center Director/ WIA Administrator is Donald H. Anderson. 

A primary partner in operating the Centers is the Mass. Division of Career Services, a unit of the Mass. Department of Workforce Development.
