It is now possible to browse up to date classified advertising from local to national newspapers directly from the Internet. Most job placement professionals will tell you that approximately 12% of job openings are actually advertised in the newspaper. However, searching job ads should be a part of any organized job search.
The following newspaper classified links have been provided as a service to assist you to search for jobs at no cost (i.e., no newspaper purchase necessary), and for use as a tool for conducting labor market research. Although the actual home pages may look different, the method for conducting a search on each is similar. In most instances you must first select a job title or type in a search word and then click on a search button.
Please note: Block ads in newspaper classified sections are graphic verses text files. In many instances they are not included in the internet site. You must read the block ads in the hard copy of the newspaper. We are told by the various publications that they are close to correcting this problem. Please stay tuned for further details.
