An increasing number of colleges and training institutions are offering “Distance Learning” courses. These are typically courses that can be completed online without physically attending the school, or courses that require limited on-site attendance. This option may be particularly helpful to potential students who may be employed and not have the flexibility to attend school on a set schedule, persons with disabilities and/or transportation issues and students who prefer to learn at there own pace. Keep in mind that the price is generally similar to that of traditional programs and in some cases may cost more.
